The storyline had me intrigued, it had a hint of hunger games in it for me, the way the characters had losses and had to come together to form a family and forage for food & fight to survive.
The characters were strong, I loved Aro, she had a good back story and keeps getting into bad situations, though sometimes she irritated me too!
I felt that I would have liked to know more about some of the characters in the book, like the friends she made on the slave boat and the prince. Maybe in the next book they will come to life.
I really felt like I was on a journey with the characters but the book just ended abruptly which left me with questions and wanting more!
All in all a good book! I would recommend it.
