By the Light of the Moon follows the story of Lady Moira Rochmond, a
strange but very intriguing young woman. Moira prefers her own
company and even takes to midnight walks so she can feel at peace.
Her father, to ensure her safety, hires a body guard to protect Moira.
The bodyguard, Owain, is a Blaidyn and changes into a wolf at every full
moon. Moira stumbles across Owain in his wolf form one full moon and a
bond between the pair is created. The wolf makes Moira feel safe and
secure and a growing attraction between the pair in Owain’s human form
Moria’s father on the other hand has a different plan and wants Moira to
marry a man who is worthy and of good standing. Will Moira give in to
her father’s demands and marry Sir Fairester or will she give into her
own feelings for Owain?
This book is very descriptive and Laila Blake pulls you into the story with
her way with words. I will definitely be adding more of Laila’s book to
my “to read list”. A very well deserved 4 Golden Apples.
